Import guide

Import TD Ameritrade trades

Export your trade history from TD Ameritrade and drop the file into TradingScorecard — the format is recognized automatically, so there's nothing to configure.

1. Export from TD Ameritrade

  1. Open thinkorswim desktop and click the Account Statement tab under Monitor.
  2. Select your date range, then click Transactions in the Cash & Sweep Vehicle row.
  3. Make sure all trade types are checked under Show Transactions.
  4. Open the menu icon → Export to file, saving a CSV ending in AccountStatement.csv.

2. Upload it

On the free plan, drop the CSV or Excel file into TradingScorecard from the import screen — no manual mapping needed. Paid plans can instead connect the brokerage account directly and skip the export step entirely.

TradingScorecard recognizes a TD Ameritrade export by these columns: DATE, DESCRIPTION, SYMBOL, QUANTITY, PRICE

Things to know

  • TD Ameritrade accounts moved to Schwab in 2023 — this export path is thinkorswim, still available to migrated accounts, not a separate live broker.
  • Export only works from the thinkorswim desktop app, not web or mobile.
